After several contacts their conclusion was: "we would suggest to wait for another update of Adobe premiere pro which may include changes that resolves the problem." I have since updated Pr several times, but still have the same problem. I have tried to get help from GoPro support who is the creator of the plug-in. After buying a new top notch PC in January 2023 and installing the latest version of all software I am no longer able to edit footage from my 360 camera because Pr freeze every time. The GoPro FX Reframe used to work fine up to appox November 2022 when I used it on my old computer (Win 10) and a previous version of Premiere Pro (Pr). Premiere Pro freeze every time GoPro FX Reframe is applied - used to work fine previously
